Mom, how big was the ark? How many animals fit inside? Did Noah need a ladder? Could he use a noisy saw like Daddy’s? How big is elephant poop?
If you have kids, you’ve probably had to answer similar questions. Or maybe, if you’re like me, the whole idea of Noah and the ark sets your imagination to spinning and you have questions of your own. How do you feed wild cheetahs? What did it smell like after a few months inside? Did anyone get seasick? What’s it like to hear God talk to you? How lonely is it to be the only family on earth to listen to Him and survive?
Just this week I received an email from a friend that set all those wheels to spinning again. It featured a man in the Netherlands named Johan Huibers who actually built a halfscale replica of the ark according to the instructions preserved in scripture and opened it to the public.
