Hanukkah Resources

I have been asked what picture books we used to study Hanukkah in homeschool. Here’s a list of the best ones we found:

The Borrowed Hanukkah Latkes by Linda Glaser; Chanukah Lights Everywhere by Michael J. Rosen; Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins by Eric Kimmel; The Trees of the Dancing Goats by the always amazing Patricia Polacco; A Hanukkah Treasure also by Eric Kimmel; and the most useful one, Celebrate Hanukkah, a very well-done nonfiction book by Deborah Heiligman put out by National Geographic. Several of the books explained the history and traditions in their “afterward”, but this one was by far the most informative.
